Effect of dietary energy density and folic acid supplementation on white striping occurrence and growth performance of broiler chickens

چکیده
Broilers were allocated to eight treatments consisting of two energy levels: normal (NE) and high (HE), four folic acid (FA) levels (2.2, 5, 10, 15 ppm). On day 42, male female chickens euthanized per pen, white striping (WS) evaluation was performed on the pectoralis major. Birds fed HE diets had reduced (P < 0.05) feed intake conversion rate than those NE diets. With increasing FA levels, there WS score increased breast fillet percentage in but not males. scores higher 0.01) females.

This study evaluates the effects of different levels of guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) supplement on growth performance and gut morphology in broilers (Ross 308 strain) raised at high altitude (2100 m). A total of 300 one-day-old male broiler chicks (Ross 308 strain) were used in a completely randomized design with five treatments and four replicate pens of 15 birds in each. Five dietary treatments...
